Aberdare National Park

Aberdare National Park encompasses the Aberdare Mountain Range in central Kenya, featuring steep forested ravines, open moorland, and spectacular waterfalls including the famous Chania Falls and Karura Falls. The park is home to the endangered mountain bongo antelope, Colobus monkeys, elephants, and great biodiversity of mountain vegetation. The park was immortalised in Ngugi Wa Thiong'o's novel "The River Between" and offers a unique highland safari experience distinct from savanna parks.
