Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, fringed by thick papyrus and surrounded by forests of the distinctive fever tree. The lake is home to hippos, over 400 bird species, and offers boat rides to Crescent Island — a wildlife sanctuary and photographer's paradise. Nearby Hells Gate National Park features dramatic cliffs, gorges, and geothermal springs, and is one of the few parks where you can cycle among wildlife. The Olkaria Geothermal Spa offers therapeutic mineral-rich waters.
